Managing Social Media
Managing social media can be daunting, but if you have the right apps and understand your audience, it can be a time saver. Our time is precious as a queen and even more so if you are a married with children and competing. Here are a few tips to turn a social media mess into meaningful messages!
*Determine which way you want to manage analytics from your audience. There are apps that you can schedule and schedule when to send out your messages and this is very useful if you are on the run a lot. But, sometimes we can lose a personal connection and people feel like a robot is sending them messages. This is a give and take. A few apps that can help do this are Hootsuite and Buffer.
*Understand your audience. It can take a while to understand your audience, but there is a chance the tweets are too frequent and the audience is decreasing or maybe not enough and the same result is happening. Hootsuite can manage analytics for you, but I prefer to look at each of the analytics in their own personal platform. A great one to follow and gain analytic insight is https://twitter.com/TwitterSmallBiz . You can find out the best time of day for your reach, even which day and which age group. Is your best platform for sharing through social media facebook? Instagram? Blogging? Your website? Understand your analytics to get the most value and save time.
*Do you know what the top social media platform is? What is trending? Do your research and know what is relevant at any given point in time. Trends sway as swiftly as the weather in Nebraska (this means quickly and often). There is always a “next” or “it” platform. There are the consistent and within their platforms they stay up to speed.
*Whether you are a beginner or Expert, it is important to stay up to date with social media trends and expanding ones knowledge of how to best use it in YOUR journey. I am highlighting the “your” because so many people get caught up with the “following” side of social media, they forget to be a Leader (hey, I’ve been there too!).
