Grosvenor House Dubai Review

The Grosvenor House is an iconic landmark in the Dubai Marina, a luxury 5-star hotel that offers world class service.

We stayed for two nights and this is what we thought:

Check-In

At check-in we were welcomed really warmly, the lady on reception was extremely nice! Then we received the best welcome drink we've ever had - two gigantic vegan smoothies <3

On the bed was a beautiful display with fruit, petals laid out in our initials and a welcome note in many different languages! We're super interested in foreign languages so this was very thoughtful of them.

Above the bed were balloons, and attached to the balloons were photos of us on our travels - it was all so wonderful! We stayed for two nights and on the second night it was Tanbay's birthday - the balloons were for him :)

We were blown away already! These kind and considerate gifts were so thoughtful, and turned a good hotel into a great one.

It was really apparent that a lot of thought and effort had gone into our arrival, they'd gone all out to make us feel comfortable and welcome.

Our Room

As for the room itself, it was comfortable and spacious - especially the bed! We had two perfect night's sleep here.

There were also comfy chairs, a large desk and a gigantic TV - everything we needed to relax and/or work.

We were also impressed to see that the bin was divided, making recycling easy for us! Their commitment to the environment is awesome.

It's hard to say what was best about the room: the welcome, the bed, the bathroom or perhaps the balcony:

The balcony was incredible! It stretched two sides of the hotel so you could see pretty much all of the Marina, and what a Marina it was!

Breakfast

This was the first hotel we've ever been to where the food was clearly labelled for vegans. Everything that contained dairy had a note to say that it did, which was so awesome!

And whilst we could clearly see what we couldn't eat, we didn't feel we were missing out at all, as there were so many options for us! Exotic fruit (of course), olives, hummus, baked beans, potatoes, mushrooms, hash-browns, toasts, Marmite!!! (my favourite) and so much more. They even brought us out soy milk and almond milk so we could have cereal. It was all so perfect!! And of course the coffee was absolutely delicious.

Pool
With hot, hot temperatures there should always be an awesome pool (in our opinion) and with Dubai having temperatures of 40 degrees plus, it was one of the hottest places we've ever been. Luckily the Grosvenor House does indeed have an large, gorgeous pool.

Location
Grosvenor House is in a great location - right next to the Dubai Marina where there's plenty to see, do and plenty of places to eat.

And if you fancy a different kind of scenery don't worry - Grosvenor House has you covered! There is a free shuttle for guests that runs three times a day to the Mall of Emirates - one of Dubai's super cool malls.

The Staff
The staff at the Grosvenor House Dubai are perfect - polite, friendly and super helpful. They're also from all over :) we met people from Italian, the Philippines, India and more. In fact, Grosvenor House can cater to people who speak Filipino, Russian, Japanese, Indonesia, Hindi, Spanish, English, German and Arabic!! #goals

Dinner

Whilst staying at the Grosvenor House Dubai we visited Indego by Vincent - the 17th best restaurant and the best Indian restaurant in Dubai. It's conveniently located inside Grosvenor House.

It was one of the best meals we've had in our entire lives, so good actually that it gets it own post :) - watch this space! Update: here is our full review of Indego by Vineet.

Conclusion

Over the last year or so we've stayed in many luxury hotels, but this one stands a cut above the rest, they were so kind and considerate and the service truly is 5-star.

From the welcome gifts, to the super comfy room, to the incredible breakfast and dinner, everything is perfect and we'd go back in a heart beat!

To book your own stay, head on over to their website or find them on Agoda

Disclaimer: Travelling Weasels were invited as guests, but as always all opinions are our own - we would never recommend something we haven't personally tried and loved and as I'm sure you can see we absolutely loved the Grosvenor House Dubai.
