Review: Heritage Suites Hotel Siem Reap
Heritage Suites Hotel is a boutique luxury property with stunning architecture and attentive service.
Nestled within tropical gardens, yet still only 6km from the Angkor Temples, Heritage Suites Hotel is an oasis of calm in the centre of Siem Reap.
We stayed here for one night and this is what we thought:
Our room
We stayed in one of the Bungalow Suites which can only be described as awe-inspiring. With its indoor and outdoor shower, gorgeous granite bath and steam room(!) we quickly decided it was one of the nicest hotels we'd stayed in in South East Asia.
There was even a sweet little private garden! We also loved the way the bungalow had been decorated (an Asian/Art Deco type blend).
We had a really warm welcome to our room with a plate of fresh fruit, delicious dumplings and a refreshing lime drink.

Pool
Our room was located right next to the beautiful outdoor pool. This turned out to be a salt-water pool, which was a really nice change from the chlorinated ones!
A really nice touch at the pool was that they provided not only pool towels, but sun hats too.
Not to mention the delicious pool-side snacks - fruit kebabs! (pineapple, watermelon, mango, dragon fruit, papaya)
The pool side bar is available all day for fresh snacks and cool water. At night you can choose the option of dining next to the pool.
Our favourite time to visit the pool was at night-time, when the fairy-lights were turned on and the candles and fire pit(!) were lit:

Massage
Guests are offered a complimentary 15 minute head and neck massage. This was the best massage we had in Asia, and possibly the best one we've ever had! It was SO GOOD!
We had our massage at night and the room was very beautifully decorated with a walkway of candles!
Breakfast
Breakfast was excellent! We had eggs Benedict, baked beans, lots of toast, yoghurt and Cambodian honey! Everything was delicious.
They also offer the options of Khmer noodle soup, Cambodian fried rice, cold cuts and cheese platter and lots of other breakfast options.

Jazz club
Unfortunately we didn't get to visit the hotel on a Thursday when they hold an impressive Jazz club. Jazz musicians come from as far as Argentina to play here!
Eco thoughts
We were impressed to discover that the Heritage Suites Hotel are working hard to be a more eco-friendly business. They're particularly interested in helping to conserve the beautiful nature in Cambodia.
Conclusion
We absolutely loved our stay at the Heritage Suites, it was really luxurious and relaxing. Everything was stunning and will definitely go back when next time we're in Siem Reap!
