The Power of Google

What comes up when you Google yourself?

In case some of you are not aware, the judges get your information well before pageant weekend! They will Google you, they will research you, and they will look at your social media accounts.

Are you active on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook?

Do you post about your platform?

Do you have your own website?

Do you post photos of you “partying”?

Do you have inappropriate modeling photos?

Is your account entirely selfies?

Do you have long drawn out angry rants?

Do you have a blog? Is it updated?

When your name is popped into Google, what comes up?

These are all things to keep in mind when using the internet. While it is a tool of great convenience, it can also be a hindrance if you don’t use it properly. I have a rule, If you wouldn’t want your grandmother to see it, then don’t post it.

We are about 2 months out from the national pageant, so now is the time to start creating more web content under your name! Let those judges see all of the hard work you have been doing for your platform!

Ignite your spark,

Samantha Riddle
Miss International 2014
