International Platform: Go Red for Women

As a contestant in the 2015 International pageants it is important for you to be aware of the national platform. You will more than likely encounter a judge who will ask you about your involvement or knowledge with The American Heart Association.

If you are currently not involved, don’t worry, you can start now!

I started volunteering with them 8 years ago after sending an email to my local AHA office! You can host health fairs, be a guest speaker, or even put a team together for a heart walk!

Social Media is also another great way to get involved! Share The American Heart Association message on your Facebook, Instagram or Twitter pages!

Not only is it important to get involved because it is the national platform, but its also important because heart disease is the number one killer of women.

Your efforts as queens make a huge global impact on this disease! Together, we are changing the face of what was once known as a “Man’s Disease”.
