XC World Championships 2014
Greetings from Norway!!
Just a quick update to let you know all is good here in the hinterfjordlands! Driving to catch a ferry back to Denmark tonight... RV living is especially good, when the weather is nice! Luckliy the weather gods have been on our side this week! :-)
I competed at the world championships on saturday and Im happy to have made it thru
safe and sound! I Started towards the back due to my missing several of the world cups with the recent ankle injury. Never ideal to start at the back in XC but above all else I was really happy just to be able to compete without any more pain than is typical!
My bike was phenomenal and really allowed me to make the most of the rugged course that put the best in the world to the test. It was clear before the start that it was going to be a hard day due to my less than ideal preparations but I was happy enough to finish (44th) and mostly to just be a part, back riding my mtb!!

Mike was an awesome support and made sure I was well cared for. He also enjoyed exploring the area and riding the ski lift and sweet DH tracks in Hafjell, practicing his jumps and skills as he is anticipating taking part in some more Enduros while we are on this side of the pond.

Next up for us is going to be the Swiss Epic!!! starting next monday... but first about 5 days of driving to get there!! It's gonna be an insanely hard 6 days of racing together as a duo pro team with 9000 feet climbing on tap each day! We are ready to live it and experience what will certainly be a raw mtb adventure! Especially since we have been told that the only reason we are doing all this climbing is to access the most incredible single track descents that Switzerland has to offer...
