15 SIGNS YOUR ADDICTED TO TRAVEL…....

The First time that I took an Overseas Holiday without my Children was back in 2007, It was for a business Conference in Shanghai, and before this, I had no real interest in travelling abroad, we had been to Bali twice pre Children but I was just happy with our annual Family Holiday to Palm Cove with the Children.
I still remember the conversation with my Hubbie… It went something along the lines of "look I've registered and paid and we are going". He had called It!! He had organised  our beautiful parents to look after the 4 precious Children and I had 6 months to prepare for this. It sure was tough, but It was China, and there was no way that we were going to miss this incredible trip of a lifetime, (In his words).
For the next 6 months I was anxious, I worried, I planned who would care for The Children If I was to die  abroad and, I'm not proud to admit this…..but a combination of vodka and valium for breakfast, got me onto that plane ( And I was so relaxed and calm that I was singing on the plane), Yeah…It was The Killers and I may have been a tad loud….but it got me through and It was apparently very entertaining!!!!
On arrival into Shanghai, we learnt of the dreadful disappearance of Madeleine McCann…this was just making it a little harder, but I called home daily and the Children and Grandparents were having a blast ….If I thought I was doing It tough, my breastfeeding girlfriend had left her beautiful little 6 month old home and was expressing milk every 3 hours….tough gig!! But this trip to China changed my life……..And ever since then, I've become a travel addict…there I said it, ( my little sister would be proud),  and I am not ashamed. I've caught the travel bug. Once the travel bug infects you, there is absolutely no going back - you are a traveller for life. Everything you do will revolve around travel. I have the bug….and I am truly addicted!!

Travel is a bit like a drug. Once you start, It can be difficult to stop, and the more you do it, the more you want to keep doing it. Go without it for long enough, and you may just find yourself with a case of the shakes, and major withdrawal symptoms, and have the urge to head to the nearest Airport for a quick escape.

So what are the symptoms of travel addiction? Besides hoarding travel shampoo,  surfing the Internet for the next destination, packing a suitcase to hit the supermarket and dealing with 'The Shakes" when you have been grounded for too long. I have compiled a short list of some symptoms that I am guilty of. Can anyone relate?
