Wednesday Wow Factor!
Week 87
Start date: 12/28/11
Initial weight: 220
Current weight: Taking a break from weighing (Last weigh-in 7/10/13)
Total weight loss: 17 pounds
Last week's dream focus: Keep focused on God during times of drama, dysfunction, and uncertainty; keep hustlin' to make these dreams come true; keep viewing food as fuel!
What went well: More fantastic eating to report! I've continued to consume less food... well, the proper amounts - what my body actually NEEDS! My cravings have diminished, my sweet tooth is under control, and I'm stopping when I'm politely full. I haven't felt ravenous and it's so refreshing.

Our road trip to Kentucky went so well! I did ten times better than on our trip to Louisiana a few weeks ago! I didn't buy a bunch of junk food at gas stations, I made smart choices when stopping at fast food places, I didn't pig out during any meals, I never ordered dessert - even after I thought about it for a few seconds at first, and I didn't have any sweet tea! YEE HAW!
The best news of this week... wait for it... I FINALLY MADE IT BACK TO ZUMBA!!! Yay! April 3, 2013 was the last time I walked through the doors of my gym. Twelve weeks of awful pain, a second surgery to remove my gall bladder, surgical adhesions, and more endometriosis, then recovery are all behind me now! I'm back in action!
Challenges: My endometriosis pain has decreased this week, but still flares up daily. It's certainly manageable, but it would be nice to just be normal. I was nervous about returning to the gym and Zumba because it's been months since I've been active. I did well, although it seemed so much harder than the last time I danced. I found myself wondering how I even became licensed to teach Zumba! I was sweating profusely, my legs felt like jelly half way through, and a couple of times I contemplated slipping out the back door, using my pain as the excuse.
BUT I DIDN'T! I fought through, made that "booty work", and finished strong! I'm sore as heck today, but even prouder of myself for making it happen! I made a small, seemingly insignificant decision that has kept the pendulum swinging in the right direction! This dream WILL come true!

This week's dream focus: Continue easing back into fitness; shut that Devil down; stay focused on God during times of drama, dysfunction, and uncertainty; keep hustlin' to make these dreams come true; keep viewing food as fuel!
