EL HUAICO BEACH
PUNTA NEGRA - LIMA - PERU
Location :
In the Central Coast of Peru in the city of Lima, district of Punta Negra and San Bartolo. Situated by the Km 50 of the Panamericana South highway.
Kind of wave :
El huaico.- reef-break, left wave, formed, with tubular section, the speed of the wave varies accord to the swell and the tide. Considered a small-medium wave from 1 through 2 meters.
Peńa Rosa.- left, strong, formed with tubular section. Medium-high wave, that reaches the 3 meters. Both beaches are not apt for beginners.
Sea performance :
Cold water, in summer the fluent is almost null. Waves all the year specially with north swell.

PENA ROSA BEACH
SAN BARTOLO - LIMA - PERU
Location :
In the Central Coast of Peru, in the San Bartolo area, 50 km south of Lima city.
Kind of wave :
Point-break, mostly lefts but some short tubular rights show up. Best time during the summer, and goes from headsize to double over head. No apt for beginners.
Sea performance :
Cold water, light fluent, best period in summer.
Weather :
Moderate, moist, accord to the season.
Cold with light rains or hot. Average temperature between 28°C and 12°C.

Access :
Take the Panamerican highway going south, take the right at the Santa Rosa entry and go to El Huayco. Pena Rosa can be seen from el Huayco. Paddle out right in front of it.

In the Central Coast of Peru, in the city of Lima, by the Km 71 of the Panamericana South.

Beach breaks, lefts and rights, strong, formed, good tubular sections. It´s a classic wave from 1 to 2 meters. It gets good with South and West swell.

Cold water, that varies accord to the season. It has fluents that goes from regular through strong accord to the waves and tide.

Moderate and moist in winter. Very hot in the summer. Average temperature between 28°C and 12°C.
Access:
In the Km 71 take the detour to the right by an affirmed trail for about 3 Km until you reach the south of the beach. It is in front of new beach houses. Ask for a permit.

These are many kilometers of beachbreaks, with different kind of peaks. Thanks to a few islands in front that make the waves come peaky. Rights, lefts, strong, formed, with tubular section.

LA PLAYITA O CABO NEGRO, LIMA - PERU

In the Central Coast of Peru in the city of Lima, by the Km 120 of the Panamericana South.
Kind of wave:
Reef-break, left, strong, formed, with tubular section. Considered as a heavy wave that reaches the 3 meters. It is dangerous because it breaks in fron of a wall of rocks, if you get caught, pray!

Reef-break, left, strong, formed, with tubular section. Considered BEST PLACE TO SURF WHEN EVERYTHING IS FLAT, it reaches 2 meters.

In the South Coast of Peru in the city of Ica.

Right, tubular and long.

Very cold water. Waves all the year.

Depending to the season varies from 23.2°C through 18.6°C.
Access :
By the Km 245 of the Panamericana South can find El Chaco Beach, there you can rent boats to reach the island the rail in boat last about 1 ˝ hour.
