Surfing in Kuala Lumpur...

If you really desperate or want to learn surfing in KL right now, u can always opt. for surfing in the man made waves pool. It is not as good as we expected or what we wanted, but at least this is where u can start learning surfing or release your tension in the pool. Introducing the waves pool since 1995....SUNWAY LAGOON Theme Park located right in the middle of the city of KL. It's always off shore here...hahahahha!!!
NOTE::: Dont hesitate to try & learn here..dont need instructor just ask the local to teach you!!

It is about 15 minutes drive from the KL city heading towards Sunway town area. It is located right next to Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall and Sunway Lagoon Hotel. U wont get lost if u come with taxi......

Operating Hours & Schedule for surfpool: Weekends & Public Holidays only
Rules: NO outside surfboards or bodyboards allowed!!! Only rental boards allowed in the pool!
Boards rental are based on first come first served basis. Weekend please go early.

Type of Boards: Soft top mini mals...7'6 or 7'0 i cant really remember!!
Entrance fee's to Sunway Lagoon: RM40++
Surfboard Rental: RM20 & RM30 refundable deposit
Bodyboard Rental: RM10 & RM20 refundable deposit
Bodyboard Hours: 3:00pm to 3:45pm
Surfing Hours: 5:30pm to 6:15pm

For you guys which already surf in the beach before, no high expectation please..!! What u got here is just fun waves and soft top surfboards and crowds!!! Just knee to waist height waves only. After all, its about having fun!!! But Quiksilver done a Revolution Events there before and some of the best surfers came and done Miracles on those pool waves. But with a tow in jet skis..
